![]() 2006 - 2007 Committee OpportunitiesPSAA is an all voluntary organization. The committees are essential to the effective operation of any professional association. Strong committee leadership and dedicated members are necessary if the association hopes to be successful. At the annual meeting you will have the opportunity to sign up to participate on a committee. On Sunday, October 8th from 8:00 – 8:30 A.M. there will be Committee Meetings.
Our Association is striving to be bigger and better! This is a great way to get more involved with your organization and give valuable feedback. The committee chairs contact their committees after the Annual Meeting and work throughout the year on their goals. If you are interested in learning more about a committee please contact the designated chair. BUDGET AND FINANCE - Prepares an annual budget for the guidance of the Executive Board. Acts in an advisory capacity and provides counsel on financial matters affecting the Association. CHAIR: Julie Bantam – julieplastic@alltel.net BYLAWS – Reviews the bylaws and policy and procedure manual and makes recommendations for amendments. Responsible for publishing updated bylaws and policies and procedures. CHAIR: Marcy Coggins – mcoggins@stpsa.com COMMUNICATIONS – Responsible for developing quality presentation materials for members to use when representing PSAA at regional and state meetings. Also, will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the website. CHAIR: Nancy Cadora – nacadora@mindspring.com CONVENTION – Responsible for the physical arrangements and social events for the annual meeting of PSAA. CHAIR: Karen McEntire – Karen@defygravity.com CREDENTIALS - Prepares a list of members eligible to vote at the annual meeting. Assists with registration and provides identification of those members entitled to vote. CHAIR: Charlotte Constantian - charconst@aol.com DEVELOPMENT – Responsible for the fundraising aspects of the organization. Members will be asked to assist in contacting vendors to sponsor (i.e., the roster, advertisements in The Administrator Review). This committee is crucial in ensuring a viable budget to enhance the educational components offered to the membership. CHAIR: Dawn Uritescu – dawnu@mycosmeticsurgeon.md EDUCATION – Responsible for planning educational programs and obtaining speakers for the Annual Meeting to increase the knowledge and professionalism of PSAA members. CHAIR: Peter Slattery – Pmslattery@aol.com HOSPITALITY & WELCOMING - Obtains annual meeting sponsors, prepares annual meeting registration materials, staff the registration desk at the annual meeting and hosts the hospitality suite. CHAIR: Sharon White – sgshanna@sunflower.com MEMBERSHIP – Responsible for maintaining and increasing the membership of the association. This committee also prepares an updated membership roster on a yearly basis. CHAIR: Peter Slattery – Pmslattery@aol.com NOMINATING – Prepares a list of candidates for office after certifying that each meets the qualifications for office. This committee also prepares ballots for voting at the Annual Meeting: CHAIR: Devonne Boggs – devonboggs@sarasotaplasticsurgery.com PUBLICATION – Compiles articles and obtains advertisers for publication in The Administrator Review. Coordinates the graphic design, printing and mailing of newsletters to active members and active ASPS members. CHAIR: Dawn Uritescu – dawnu@mycosmeticsurgeon.md ROSTER – Responsible for proofreading, publishing and distributing the membership roster. CHAIR: Orla McClure – orla@edinaplasticsurgery.com STRATEGIC PLANNING – Responsible for establishing overall objectives, program and resource priorities and provides the framework within which action plans can be developed.
