A Message from ASPS

Bergitta and I were pleased to attend the PSAA Board meeting in October 2004 and are looking forward to working with you to advance your educational mission as well to help further your collaboration with APSA. Bergitta joined ASPS last September as Assistant Executive Director for Education, Meetings and Research and had previously worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as Director of Medical Staff Affairs. In addition to her work, Bergitta is immediate past chair of the Board at MGMA, which represents almost 10,000 group practices nation-wide. ASPS is dedicated to working with you to enhance practice management education opportunities. Look for announcements regarding our first combined CPT Coding and Build a Winning
Practice programs in June 2005 in Chicago.

We are looking to Bergitta to provide executive leadership to the Society's educational efforts with particular focus on Maintenance of Certification. From the Society's perspective we expect 2005 to be a crucial year for Plastic Surgery. Our goals include continued efforts to integrate the specialty organizations within plastic surgery, to continue our improvements in public relations and to strengthen our advocacy efforts at the Federal, State and regulatory levels.
